PCM26065 - APOLOGIES
Apologies were received and accepted from Cllr Wickham. Apologies were noted from Cllr Scott and Dist Cllr Dickinson after the meeting.
PCM26066 - PUBLIC FORUM
A member of the public attended the meeting but only to observe proceedings.
PCM26067 - DECLARATIONS OF INTEREST
None received.
PCM26068 - P3 FOOTPATHS
Mill Lane/Eaudykes (P322 Northern) – Footpath is dry to walk on.
Eaudykes/Lenton’s Lane (P322 Southern) – Footpath is good to walk on but weeds are growing.
A52/Sea Lane (P335) – Footpath is dry to walk on but weeds are growing.
Sickling Lane/3 Way Post (P336) – Footpath is dry to walk on.
Chapel Lane/Eaudykes (P337) – Nothing new to report.
Church/Field Lane (P338) – Nothing new to report.
Beacon/Church (P339) – Footpath has been worked but is good to walk on.
PCM26069 – DISTRICT COUNCILLOR’S REPORT

PCM26070 – COUNTY COUNCILLOR’S REPORT
No report was received.
PCM26071 – CHAIR’S REMARKS
Cllr Smith thanked those that helped prepare the play equipment for painting, specifically Cllr Twigg, Cllr Hill and Terry Twigg.
The Churchyard mower required repairs in the sum of £39.00.
Cllr Smith thanked Matt Weedon for his work in getting the car park cleaned ready for the line painting.
PCM26072 - PREVIOUS MINUTES
The minutes from the March Parish Council Meeting were presented for approval. These were resolved to be a true and accurate record having been proposed by Cllr Twigg and seconded by Cllr Hill.
PCM26073 - ACTION LOG
The Clerk gave an update on the new, current and completed actions which are minuted below or within their respective topics.
PCM26074 - PLANNING (Appendix 2)
Ossian Offshore Wind Farm – Public consultation.
Seaways/National Grid – Replace existing overhead lines.
Askern House, Dickon Hill Road (Enforcement) – Enforcement notice issued.
PCM26075 - FINANCE (Appendix 3)
All April payments were resolved for payment (with the exception of T A Blackamore) having been proposed by Cllr Patrick and seconded by Cllr Reeves. Additional payments for Matt Weedon’s overtime, mower repairs and play area paint were resolved for payment having been proposed by Cllr Reeves and Cllr Holt. Action – Clerk to challenge grass cutting dates.
PCM26076 - VILLAGE HALL
Line painting has been completed.
An Abba Tribute band are playing on 23rd May and another quiz is planned for June.
PCM26077 - PLAY AREA
With no quote available from Terrafirma for the tarmac repairs, it was resolved to accept the quote from Vere Bros as this work is now required for Health & Safety reasons. Cllr Twigg to confirm the quote is still valid and if so, to agree a start date for works.
The play area equipment has been primed and painted and will reopen on 24th April. The skate ramps are due to be painted at a later date.
A quote for a new rocker has been received from Playdale in the sum of £4,552.83. Following a unanimous vote, it was resolved to reject the quote and Cllr Twigg to proceed with a new plastic back for the existing rocker.
Cllr Hill to obtain a quote for maintenance on the Junior Multiplay equipment.
Cllr Twigg has advised that some branches may need trimming as they are causing equipment and surfaces to become slippery when wet. It was also requested that the benches might benefit from being installed on a concrete plinth. Cllr Hill agreed to obtain quotes for review.
PCM26078 - CEMETERY/CHURCHYARD
Cllr Twigg to ask Vere Bros to quote for the additional ashes plots.
The application for 4 Hedge Packs was successful with delivery due to Cllr Holland in November.
PCM26079 - ALLOTMENTS
All rental payments have been received.
PCM26080 - CORRESPONDENCE
None received.
PCM26081 - HIGHWAYS ISSUES, REPAIRS & DEFECTS
Cllr Patrick advised that a newly installed broadband junction box outside Sea Breeze on Sea Lane, has been damaged and is a trip hazard. Action – Clerk to report online.
PCM26082 – COUNCIL DOCUMENT REVIEW
None received.
PCM26083 - URGENT MATTERS
The Clerk has been asked to listen to content provided on a memory stick from Cllr Wickham. It was unanimously resolved to reject the request as it presents a virus risk to the Parish Council laptop used by the Clerk.
PCM26084 - DATE AND TIME OF NEXT MEETING
The next Parish Council meeting will be on Wednesday 20th May 2026. There being no other business the Parish Council meeting closed at 8:32pm.
