MINUTES OF THE FRISKNEY PARISH COUNCIL PLANNING COMMITTEE MEETING
HELD AT FRISKNEY VILLAGE HALL
ON THURSDAY 10TH AUGUST 2023 AT 7.00PM

PCO23002 - APOLOGIES
Apologies were received and accepted from W Trigg (Clerk), Cllr Holland, Cllr Holt, Cllr Smith & Cllr Wickham.
PCO23003 - PUBLIC FORUM
None present.
PCO23004 - DECLARATIONS OF INTEREST
None received.
PCO23005 – LOW ROAD PLANNING APPLICATION S/053/01341/23
Discussion took place regarding this application for the siting of 22 modular homes.
It was resolved that the following objections/comments he submitted opposing the application.
* The development is not in keeping with the village.
* How would the local infrastructure cope, especially during wet periods as the sewage system is already overloaded and does not cope well now.
* Local Doctors and Dentists are already oversubscribed.
* Would 'buy to let' be allowed?
* The extra volume of traffic on already deteriorating roads would be detrimental.
* The Low Road at the entrance area does not have a footpath and is not wide enough for one.
* Any potential development should be open to all and so as to benefit the whole village.
* Development would not benefit the local school, whose numbers are already low.
* Although permission has not yet been granted, the properties are already being advertised for sale on the company website stating for "over 45's".
