PCM26171 – DISTRICT COUNCILLOR’S REPORT
Weekly food waste collections have started and anyone yet to receive a food waste bin can report it here at https://www.e-lindsey.gov.uk/report-food-caddy-issue

This month celebrates the 5th anniversary of the South & East Lincolnshire Councils Partnership.  Since being formed it has identified £47m in efficiencies, secured £277m in external funding, given three councils a stronger, collective voice with Government and enabled the councils to take a more strategic approach across the wider sub-region.

A new Energy Smart East Lindsey programme, funded by the East Lindsey Investment Fund, is available to eligible businesses.  It provides access to advice, tailored audits and opportunities to identify ways to improve efficiency, reduce costs and strengthen long-term resilience.

A Crisis & Resilience Fund has been launched in East Lindsey.  It represents a shift from short term emergency help towards a more preventative approach, which builds financial resilience while still providing a safety net to support low-income households encountering unexpected financial shock.

Councillor’s Community Grant Scheme is open for applications until 28th February 2027.  With only two successful applications, any charity/not for profit organisation within the ward should email carleen.dickinson@e-lindsey.gov.uk to discuss their eligibility and project.

(Dist Cllr Dickinson left the meeting)

PCM26172 – CHAIR’S REMARKS
Cllr Smith advised the wasps in the Cemetery had gone.  It was noted that the need to start using the extension might be needed sooner than hoped.  Burial plots can be extended into the existing grass area to provide additional plots and a site meeting will take place at 10am on 25th October to discuss next steps.

PCM26173 - PREVIOUS MINUTES
The minutes from the September Parish Council Meeting were presented for approval.  These were resolved to be a true and accurate record having been proposed by Cllr Patrick and seconded by Cllr Wood.

(Cnty Cllr Hume joined the meeting)

PCM26174 – COUNTY COUNCILLOR’S REPORT
Cllr Hume apologised for her lack of communication and that regrettably she had to take up additional employment which left her less time for Council matters.

Ongoing issues with the weeds on P338 and the Church Lane weight limit should be sent again to Cnty Cllr Hume.

Cnty Cllr Hume agreed to check the status of Skirmore Road surface issues as this road is now almost unusable.

Cllr Scott asked if drainage gulleys could be cut into the banks along the A52 to resolve the standing water issue.

Grant funding is available which could potentially be used for the Cemetery extension and Play Area wet pour replacement.  Both planned for Spring 2027.  Action – Clerk to email Cnty Cllr Hume with basic details.

(Cnty Cllr Hume left the meeting)
