Vacancy Notice
Friskney Parish Council has a vacancy for a Churchyard Caretaker to start on 1st November 2025. Applications are invited from suitable persons for this valuable village role.
Actual contracted weekly hours are to be agreed with payment being made in line with the National Minimum Wage.
The purpose of the job is to ensure Friskney Churchyard is maintained to a very high standard at all times. Main responsibilities include:-
- cutting and strimming all grass areas;
- trimming hedges as and when required;
- maintaining the shrubs and trees in the conservation area;
- control weed and ivy growth in all areas;
- upkeep of the War Memorial area;
- keep paved areas clear of grass, weeds and moss;
- removal and disposal of any litter, recycling where possible;
- any other tasks that may be required from time to time.
