MINUTES OF THE FRISKNEY PARISH COUNCIL FINANCE COMMITTEE MEETING
HELD AT FRISKNEY VILLAGE HALL
ON WEDNESDAY 17TH NOVEMBER 2021 AT 6.30PM

109. CHAIRPERSON’S REMARKS
Tree works are underway at the Churchyard and the issue with moles is also being addressed.
110. DECLARATIONS OF INTEREST
Cllr K Smith in respect of the allotment rents.
111. THE MINUTES OF THE FINANCE COMMITTEE MEETING
The minutes from the June meeting were reviewed having been approved at the July Parish Council Meeting.
112. 2022/23 BUDGET
The Clerk had drafted the 2022/23 budget and it was discussed by line detail. Any amendments to the approved 2021/22 costs are listed below.
Allotments – Drainage costs increased by 3%.
Wages/Contractor Fees – The Litter Warden and Cemetery Caretaker wages will increase in line with the national minimum wage.
Cemetery – Rates and water costs were increased by 2% with £10,000 retained to cover topping and any initial landscaping of the cemetery extension.
Grass Cutting – A 5% increase was incorporated.
Play Area – A provision of £10,000 was made for new equipment installation. The Annual Inspection cost was increased by 2% for inflation.
Administration – Insurance fees increased by 2% for inflation.
The final budget of £31,085.36 will be presented at the January Parish Council meeting for approval.
113. DATE AND TIME OF NEXT MEETING
The next Parish Council Finance Committee meeting will be on Wednesday 16th February 2022 at 7.00pm in the Village Hall. There being no further business, the meeting closed at 7:18pm.
