HELD AT FRISKNEY VILLAGE HALL

PCM24088 - DECLARATIONS OF INTEREST
None received.

PCM24089 - P3 FOOTPATHS
Mill Lane/Eaudykes (P322 Northern) – Footpath is wet and tacky to walk on.
Eaudykes/Lenton’s Lane (P322 Southern) – The grass is starting to grow but ground is dry and good to walk on.
Sea Lane/A52 (P335) – Field entrance part is good to walk on, way post is overgrown and unable to walk.
Sickling Lane/3 Way Post (P336) – Nothing new to report.
Chapel Lane/Eaudykes (P337) – Weeds are starting to grow over the footpath.
Field Lane/School (P338) – Nothing new to report, same issue with crumbling holes.
Beacon/Church (P339) – Footpath is dry to walk on, crops have been planted.

PCM24090 - CHAIR’S REMARKS
A recent memorial dispute has been resolved following a site visit with the family members concerned.

PCM24091 - PREVIOUS MINUTES
The minutes from the April Parish Council Meeting were presented for approval.  These were resolved to be a true and accurate record having been proposed by Cllr Twigg and seconded by Cllr Wood.

PCM24092 - ACTION LOG
The Clerk gave an update on the new, current and completed actions which are minuted below or within their respective topics.

The Clerk has chased the Parochial Church Council for a response regarding insurance of the Churchyard walls.

Cllr Hill is still looking into a commemorative D-Day 80 bench for future installation.

PCM24093 - PLANNING (Appendix 2)
Sewage Treatment Works, Burgh Road – Decision pending.
Fairfield, Small End – Decision pending.
Land off Low Road – 22no modular homes for over 55s & construction of vehicular access – Decision pending.
Outer Dowsing Offshore Wind Farm – Development Consent Order accepted.
White House, Small End – Decision pending.
Land adjacent to Lynwood, Burgh Road – Permission granted.
Everest Lodge/Robins Nest, Holland Lane – Permission granted.

PCM24094 - FINANCE (Appendix 3)
All May payments were resolved for payment having been proposed by Cllr Reeves and seconded by Cllr Twigg.

PCM24095 - VILLAGE HALL
A quote for the CCTV system is still pending.

New fire doors have been installed.

PCM24096 - PLAY AREA
A further replacement handle cap for the gym equipment has been received.  Action – Clerk to pass to Cllr Twigg.

Vere Bros are waiting for good weather to carry out the tarmac repairs in the play area and car park.

It has been confirmed that there are no grips in the Play Area so the recent flooding is still a problem.

The grass contractors have yet to repair the grass area where their equipment got stuck.

Cllr Twigg to organise a group of volunteers to start maintenance work in the Play Area.  Cllr Bowkett advised she may be able to get some resource from the Highways Team at LCC.  Action – Clerk to email details.

PCM24097 - CEMETERY/CHURCHYARD
Cllr Smith and Cllr Hill are to see whether a new mower is required for the Churchyard Caretaker.

PCM24098 - ALLOTMENTS
The Clerk confirmed that all allotment rents have been paid.

PCM24099 - CORRESPONDENCE
None received.

PCM24100 - HIGHWAYS ISSUES, REPAIRS & DEFECTS
Cllr Bowkett has acknowledged receipt of the request for a 7.5T weight limit on Cranberry Lane and has contacted the residents directly.  This matter has been passed to Highways but could take up to 18 months for a decision.

Hedges are overgrown at the junction by P J Lofts on Fen Bank.  Action – Clerk to report online.

Wildmore Crescent sign was removed for fence painting but hasn’t been replaced.  Action – Clerk to report online.

Patched repairs outside Coppers Rest, Low Road are causing noise and vibration.  Action – Clerk to report online.

PCM24101 – COUNCIL DOCUMENT REVIEW
Nothing to report.

PCM24102 - URGENT MATTERS
Cllr Shaw advised that the Village Show was all set for 9th June.

PCM24103 - DATE AND TIME OF NEXT MEETING
The next Parish Council meeting will be on Wednesday 12th June 2024.  There being no other business the Parish Council meeting closed at 7:25pm.
